"Her
mind must be the paradise for conceptual art. Lala Mártin, a 24-year-old
Argentinian, is one of those new artists that are strongly and fearless
stepping out in the scene. With a short but fructiferous career Lala has
what it takes to shine in the local vanguard.
Talented, she performs well in both literature and fine-art photography.
“I’ve been very lucky.” – she says. “I could give myself the chance to
decide when it was time to start showing what I do. And I didn’t miss my
choice. Many people keep waiting so long that in the end it’s just too
late.”
If you still haven’t had the chance to see Vulnerable Heroes (one of her
latest collections) you can’t just wait: it’s about a fusion of pop-art,
digital photography and a classical comic-style editing that you can’t
miss. Her black and whites, her wonderful framings, her rigorous look and
her color processing are just a few indispensable highlights to have in
mind when it comes down to analyze her works.
Smart, precise, determined, transgressive, innovative, young, talented,
evocative and inspiring, that’s Lala." | Fernanda Casas Alleri | BArt Mag
